bags for bikes

As a fixed gear enthusiast, who doesnt even have a fixed gear, I try to mention things about bikes on my daily posts. Well today im not going to talk about the bike but the bags these insane messengers wear. Well as the growing popularity of the so called "hipster bike" many of these riders need certain bags for their riding. The bags need to be light weight, big, rain proof, comfortable, organized, and easy to put on, to suit the riders needs. I introduce to you (or reintroduce) the Messenger Bag. Popular among the world of messengers, this bag lets riders easily carry bulky items but still is comfortable enough to suit the rider while riding a bike. As the fashion world is booming with the new hip style of being a hipster, many of these bags can be spotted on an everyday basis. Many kids like Ezekiel Henry Goodman has one and teachers like Marcos Arias have these useful little sacks as well. A company called R.E.load Bags started by Roland in Philidelphia started making these bags since i believe the early 90's. He started making these bags because he needed a bag thatt wouldnt rip or tear but was still useful while he was a messenger. Many people are advancing funtions of these bags. People are adding u-lock holders and cell phone pouches and much more. Even though these bags are made for the bike messengers, anyone can wear them. They are fashionable, comfortable, and easy to get along with. So get a bike and go ride with a messenger bag.

A United States of America

Yesterday a beloved canidate of min Barack Obama won the hearts of america by beating John McCain by a landslide. This marks a point in history where a man of color can make change. It is actually finally a United States of America. This makes me wonder it there will ever be a asian american president while i am alive? Will there ever be a Native American president while i am alive? Will there even be a samoan president? I dont know but i tell you that Barack Obama is going to do great things.

Weekend Review #2

So this weekend was fun/boring. It felt very long, which is always good. On thursday was the halloween event which was ehh, it was pretty uneventful. Friday was very fun. It started off with henry and alex coming and henry and i did the molecular stuff. Pictures below. then we saw the movie fears of the dark. It was so awesome. I suggest all of you to go see it. EVERYBODY. the artistic value was 100% it was so cooool. Then we took the bus to Olivers. It took forever. We all split at different places, except for evan and i who ended up at olivers. Then we went trick or treating around hanckock park. And we saw orlando bloom (see post below). We walked alot for nothing. WE were going to go to this haunted house that was worth 7 million dollars, but the line was down the block. so we walked back to olivers. Then they (jason, russell, liam, oliver) watched the ring, and i didn't becasue i absolutely HATE scary movies. I get nightmares. So ya. Saturday and today was very uneventful.I also saw Zack and miri make a porno which was good i guess, Darrell from The Office was in it, and he was absolutely hilarious, but otherwise, it was ok.

OMG Orlando Bloom

Yesterday was a pretty magical halloween. First we go to this house to get candy and while we are coming back all these camera flashes start going off thinking it was the house doing this for memories. Liam thought it was for him. we go down and then see a man wiht a mask on getting onto his motorcycle and everyones yelling who is he and then on his motorcycle he responds, "I'm scary." We asked the paparazzi who it was and he said he was orlando bloom. Weirdly he does a circle on his motorcycle and then gets off and attempts to walk back into his house. One kid says, "Orlando Bloom can i have a hug and then he gives him a hug." After I say, "Orlando Bloom can I have a hug too." Everyone just attacked him with Jason and I at the front. Then he went back into the house while everyone is saying that it wasnt him but he takes off his mask and we see him. What a cool thing. Then we saw Diane Keaton. I will look for more pictures of us and Orlando Bloom. This night was spent with Russell, Liam, Jon, Jason, Oliver, Carver, Carson, and Charlotte

just a post

so i have been slowing down on the post because we have been busy with school and such. but heres a little story from 2 weeks ago. So while zeke and i were chilling in his house a light skinned black male runs into an alley in front of his house while zekes step-dad ward (possibly one of the coolest poeple ever) was outside because he heard a car crash. si we look out a window and 3 cop cars are there with 2 male cops going in and 2 women cops outside securing the area. there was a helicopter and everything pretty crazy. while we are leaving to anderson party we se a crashed minicooper. i think they caught the guy because the helicopter left.

Dude, ya

So my weekend was very fun. Girl Talk was crazy. It was so fun. Greg marcus took off his shirt and he was sexy. carver, zoey, and willa bennett went on stage. It was really funny because carver was trying to get to the front of the stage, but she couldnt because she was so small. Willa bennett was also getting like sexually abused by this guy. So after it was the sleepover at ollies. it was realy fun, but i only got 2 and a half hours of sleep. Yesterday i had to find a place to sleep, so i went to Liams. I had to attend mass with him. It was so weird becasue im jewish and i didnt know how to do all the things they did there. Then we went to Dylan's party which was really fun. It was at this restaurant uWink. At uWink you get a computer screen for every 2 people and you order food, drinks, and you can play games on it. It is awesome. Everyone was just playing this game My Word where there is one person sitting across from each other and one person gets a word and has to describe it to the other person so he/she can guess it. It was so fun. Then i went back to liams, slept there. Today i did homework and then went to Synecdoche New York. It was the weirdest movie i have ever seen. Every character was so complicated. Philip Seymour Hoffman was fantastic. I suggest for everyone to go see it. It is by far the weirdest Charlie Kaufman film he has made. Also the soundtrack is amazing. It is by Jon Brion who has done all the soundtracks to his films. He is an amazing composer and songwriter. He plays at the Largo every friday and i have yet to see him.

But on Saturday i might be seeing Synecdoche, New York with my bro, and then Charlie Kaufman is answering questions about the mvie after. The movie looks really good. It's with Philip Seymour Hoffman and it's supposed to me AMAZING. Go check out the trailer. Charlie Kaufman wrote Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Adaptations, and Being John Malkovich. I haven't seen Adaptations yet, But the other two movies are two of my favorite movies of all time. So, go check it out. Synecdoche, New York written and directed by Charlie Kaufman.

Iron Chef Number 2

So 2 days ago marked or second monthly iron chef battle. Jon and Sarah were the winners so Liam and Henry took extra effort in becoming iron chef. With the secret ingredient thought of and chosen the Iron Chef "team", a heated iron chef battle was hosted and the Sewitz residence. People were running around trying to make their dishes reign supreme. Both teams had a some what international choice of dishes. With the usual judges Jason, Russell, and I, we tried are hardest to see which dishes were the best. Breaking the monotony (i dont even know if that spelled right) a 4th judge was introduce. 9th grader, track star, and acclaimed writer Alex brought to the table excellent judging. He stepped out of his comfort zone of pasta with butter and cheese, and tried new foods. It was also the first time he has ever tried pumpkin. After much debate we thought we came to the conclusion that Sarah and Jon won but Mr. Russell decided no to use a calculator and use a different approach to adding the points which was to compare the dishes points. Jason suggested a recount and we concluded the winners of Iron Chef Pumpkin by 1.5 points (thanks to jason and alex for the .5) Henry and Liam dishes reigned supreme. Also thanks to Mr. Sewitz mother Robyn for helping and hosting this wonderous event.

Bollywood Meets Hip Hop 2x

I was listening to NPR in the car today on the way from school, and there was a "report" on Snoop Dogg's new song, Singh is King. He did a collaboration with Akshay Kumar, a famous Bollywood star. If you don't know what Bollywood, look it up. Anyways, this idea seemed pretty darn silly. The one and only D-O-double G, vs. The one and only star of Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi!!!!! Yes, weird right? Anyways, i went home and searched up the song, Singh is King. I already know about an Indian meets Hip hop song which is great, but annoying at the same time. It's by Punjabi MC and Jay-z. There was some commentary by Snoop in this "report" which stated he loved Punjabi music. Imagine Snoop Dogg listening to traditional Punjabi music. Even the way he said he loved it made me think how ridiculous this collaboration is. If you want to listen to both India meets Hip Hop songs, go on youtube. Snoop Dogg's is Singh Is King, and Jay-z's is Beware Of The Boys.
